I joined Ultimate Rivals: The Court’s small team during its early development stages, and as such covered a number of engineering responsibilities in addition to my role as a Gameplay Engineer.

Through collaborating with designers and basketball professionals I produced a system that was advanced to the point where the system would run pre-set basketball plays, but also adapt on the fly to make the optimal use of the specific characters' strength and weaknesses. The system competently adapted to the moment to moment actions of their opponent's team.

Implemented abilities and status effects using Unreal Gameplay Ability System, which subsequently required implementing a lot of our network Replication setup.
Created a system that managed and represented the characters with about 100 different stats per athlete, all fed into the game through easily adjustable backend data streams that did not require a patch to update. -
Designed and implemented a complete UI framework on top of Slate, complete with 3D menus, VFX, and animations.
